Cover Crops: An Idea Worth Planting
In April of 2016, I presented a TEDx talk at a independently organized TED event in Columbia, Missouri. The talk presented the idea of planting cover crops on our farmland to ensure its long-term health and productivity. It was aimed at the general public, to engage all people, regardless of if they farm, in discussions about agriculture and in becoming inspired by our management of the land.
In addition to the TED talk, I’ve created a series of blog posts to dive further into the realm of cover crops. This series explores the ecosystem services provided by cover crops, the profitability of planting cover crops, and the economic opportunities presented by cover crops.
